Heteropoda lebar sp. nov.: a new species from the highlands in Pahang State, Malaysia (Sparassidae, Heteropodinae) with a distinct sexual colour dimorphism
Authors: Wenqin Chen, Peter Jäger, Yang Zhu, Long Yu, He Zhang
Heteropoda lebar, a new species from Pahang, Malaysia frequently but incorrectly identified as H. tetrica on iNaturalist. This shows again that one cannot ID to species just from photographs. The specific name “lebar” (Malay for broad) refers to the broad conductor tip unique within the entire genus.
